Take a Lesson From Britney Private Pyle!!

Arguably she might be crazy…  Ok, who am I kidding.  She’s nuttier than a crying sorority girl at a Frat party, but I support the head shaving.  Whether it was Joe-Boo the voice in her head, secret Timberlake lyrics or just a new start - it’s a good way to rejuvinate your look.

Here’s my .02.

I’ve rocked a pretty standard haircut for the last dozen or so years.  It works for me, I like it, and so do my lady friends.  Kind of spikey in the front, not quite Gotti-Boy’ish, but more or less the ‘clean-shaven’ Dane Cook look.  I’ll change it up ever so slightly off and on, maybe a part, maybe flatten it down or whatever, but more-or-less its the same do I do.

That being said, if you’re like me, and have a haircut named after you - get crazy once in awhile and go medieval on your head with a pair of clippers.  shave that puppy down to stubble, skin or whatever and start over. Believe me, its actually kind of fun and it keeps your image fresh.  Everytime I do it, I do hate my hair for about 2 week, but then absolutely love it for the next 8.  I can almost guaruntee never a bad hair day in those 8 weeks, you simply don’t have enough of it to go bad!

This last time I shaved my head, I did it with a clipper setting of 3.  To be honest, as my hair grew back I loved it at about a 5 or 6, so I’m thinking next time I’ll just whack it down to that.  Brings up another point, as your hair grows back you get to try it in different configurations - it’s almost like a different haircut every week depending on your Wookie gene aka Chewbacca crhomosome.  (Also known as the ‘Cousin It’ trait.)

The trick is here is that it keeps your image ‘Fresh.’  (See my other posting on being ‘Fresh.’)  Your image doesn’t get boring, and it keeps people interested in you - which can go a long way - both corporate and social.

PS. If you’re lukcy to be bad-ass enough to rock a shaved head like my man Freddy Ballsomic - rock it.  Thanks to dudes like Vin Diesel, Billy Zane etc., the bald head has become trendy in all environments.
